2025
RECAP
What a show season! Dawsons Gold and Limara continued to demonstrate their abilities in FEI-rated classes, collectively bringing home almost twice as much prize money as they won in 2024. DG maintained his reputation as the resident "speed demon," while Limmy made massive oxers look like cake.
We love these superstars, but the up-and-coming group is also robust and talented, - which gives us a lot to look forward to. One young horse in particular has us mesmerized. Flexible's spicy seven-year-old granddaughter, Fortside Candy Flex, showed us her flashy form isn't reserved for the conservatively-sized young horse classes. She began the year in 1.10m open jumper classes and finished her season with a string of wins and a champion ribbon for the 7YO division (1.30m - 1.35m) at Desert Horse Park. As we rose the standards, she maintained her round natural jumping style with ease. We are proud of her progress and thrilled for her future. Her close-in-age barn mates also found their way, gaining confidence at new venues in new arenas.

At home, our program grew to host 23 horses and one promising Flexible foal, Cocoflex (also know as "Farley"). We now have a total of five Flexible offspring in the stable. After learning alongside his father's renowned stallion and having developed one of Flexible's offspring into an FEI-level Grand Prix horse, Chris is acutely equipped to understand and train Flexi's famously complex and wildly intelligent offspring. Chris has learned through experience that mutual respect, exceptional consistency - in care and training -, proper activity levels, varied experiences, and a genuine bond turn these tricky geniuses into quick, clever, and unstoppable competitors. As this program continues to evolve, we hope to welcome many more Flexible foals to Generations.

Individually, Chris began the year ranked 200-something in the nation, gaining most of his points from National Grand Prix wins. By September, after earning multiple ribbons - including a lovely win in the FEI** GP at Thunderbird on DG -, he elevated himself to 68th in the nation. From the desert circuit in February to Sunshine in November, he accumulated over 80 wins, averaging ___ wins per competition week.

Every year, our goal is simple: growth. Every day is an opportunity to become better riders and horse(wo)men. It's safe to our team exceeded expectations this year.

"It's easier to go down a hill than up it, but the view is much better at the top."
- Henry Ward Beecher

Over the course of 2025, Chris rose in the national rankings. He began with a ranking of 200-something and, by September - after him and Dawsons Gold won the FEI CSI2* GP in Thunderbird -, he reached 68th in the United States.

Dawsons Gold
This little chestnut spent the year proving to his teammates and competitors that size means nothing when a horse loves his sport and his rider. Our 15.3hh Irish gelding and son of Flexible took home the in-barn Breadwinner Award after more than tripling his earnings from 2024. His highlight was winning the FEI CSI2* Grand Prix at Thunderbird by just over 2.5 seconds. Though, he also enjoyed his little streak at Temecula in the Spring where he won 60% of the classes he finished (three wins) and got second in the $50K Grand Prix.

Limara
Relatively new to the 1.55m+ courses, Limara continued to gain confidence in the big ring. Her biggest accomplishment was getting comfortable - and having fun - jumping at speed. This really showed in her spectacularly speedy jump-off round where she landed herself a third place finish in the $75K FEI CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix at Thunderbird.

DEVELOPMENT
"Do you know what? That horse - [Limara] likes jumping at speed! She was just showing all her scope and ability."
"This pair blazed through the jump-off in 35.15s - more than 2.5 seconds faster than the runner-up - to win the $62,500 FEI CSI2* GP at the BCHJA Fall Finale. An incredible performance worth reliving..."
